At Reach Church in Sorrento, Florida, our purpose as a church is to simply

Love God and Love People.

We get that purpose from the Bible in Matthew 22:36-40 where it says,

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Jesus Christ has made it so simple for us. But although it sounds easy, we realize that

we need a community to support those who are striving to follow Christ’s words in this world. We are very excited about what God is doing at Reach Church. We have a wide range of opportunities available for you. Please check out our various links and pages. We hope you will discover that we are very Christ-centered, Bible-believing, and missions-minded.

Our Goal

At Reach Church, we exist to reach, raise up, and release followers of Jesus who engage and serve our community. Everyone is welcome to learn about God and connect with others here. Each Sunday we have Adult Bible Classes at 9:00 AM, and we gather at 10:30 AM to worship, hear a challenging message, and meet new friends.

Why are we called Reach Church?

We are called Reach Church because of our desire and mission to reach our community with the gospel. That means not just some people in the community but all people from all backgrounds, from places all over the country and around the world. This is what the Bible has called and commanded us to do. Further, it is our desire because it is what we love and want to do. Are you hurting? We want to minister to you. Are you in need? We want to help. Maybe you aren't sure what you need, but you feel you want something more. Maybe you have been a Christian for some time and are looking for a new church home. We would love to talk to you and see if we can serve you.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe in one Creator and Lord of all, existing eternally as the Trinity; God The Father, God The Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son incarnate, fully God, and fully human, conceived and born of the virgin Mary, died on the Cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will come again in glory to judge us all.
  • We believe the Scripture to be without error, the sole, final, and total trustworthy rule of faith.
  • We believe that we are saved by grace alone when God imputes to us His gift of righteousness through faith alone in Christ, who died for our sins. Good works are the inevitable result of true faith, but are in no way the basis of our right standing before God.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is at work in the world to draw people to Jesus through the Gospel and to lead those who believe into all truth. He is at work in all individual believers to empower them for the work of God’s Kingdom.
  • We believe the souls of believers upon dying go immediately to be with Christ; and, at Christ’s return, their bodies are raised to immortal, eternal life. And we believe that the wicked will suffer eternal punishment in hell.
  • We believe that Baptism is by full immersion of the believers and is a symbol of their faith in Christ.
  • We believe The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic memorial of Christ’s death and anticipation of His return.
  • And we believe that as believers in Christ, we are to spread the “Good News” of “The Gospel of Christ” to a lost and dying world.
